Pikes Peak Alpine School supports the high standards of the American Mountain Guides Association in its continuing efforts to train and certify guides in the United States. The process required for mountain guides to gain this certification clearly demonstrates their committment to the highest standards and the excellence of this profession. In my opinion, it’s not enough to simply have a certification. Guides must also be of sound mind, have physicial agility and fitness, and possess knowledge that can only come through the combination of experience and formal education. |

Bluebird Guides offers back country ski trips and private guiding for groups and individuals.
Bluebird Guides is made up of a small collection of mountain folk whose main winter passion is skiing. There are three guides (including myself), my wife Shell who helps out with logistics and Billie our hard charging cook.
Our approach to ski touring trips is fully determined by the group we’re with. It’s your holiday, so you set the pace and the level of terrain you want to ski. So with this in mind, we always try to match group our trips so that everyone has a good time with zero pressure. With hut trips, we often ski as two smaller groups to accommodate the ambitious pace as well as the more relaxed pace. |

We founded Glacier Guides in 1983 because no one else was providing the kind of ecologically sensitive backcountry guiding and interpretation that Glacier National Park deserved. In those days there were just three of us, but our hunch that an outfit like ours was needed turned out to be correct. Four years later we expanded to include rafting on the area's two Wild and Scenic rivers. Today, with more than seventy guides and support people on our staff, we provide the area's most comprehensive and professional hiking, backpacking, fishing and rafting services.
At Glacier Guides, Inc. and Montana Raft Co., we owe our success to our staff. We're not just a company, we're friends. Many of our guides are students or teachers in the offseason, dovetailing their schedules with the summer season here in West Glacier. Others ski, hike, fish or raft professionally in other parts of the country the rest of the year. All are dedicated outdoors people who hone their skills constantly, sharing hard won insights with you, our guests. |

Backcountry Access started in 1994 in a garage in Boulder, Colorado. At the time, backcountry skiing was influenced as much by tradition as by innovation. We took it as a challenge to question conventional wisdom and to test every assumption. The result has been a series of innovative products, some bordering on revolutionary. 2007-08 marks our 13th year we've been selling our products in North America. It marks our 11th year in Europe. Thanks to a core group of dedicated distributors, avalanche professionals, and backcountry riders, the BCA brand is now an integral part of European mountain culture. While our roots are in the young, irreverent North American freeskiing scene, we deeply respect the wisdom and traditions of European alpinism. |
|
At Cloudveil we encourage others to find inspiration in the outdoors. Derived from our collective mountain experience, we are committed to creating inspired outdoor apparel that offers innovation without excess and quality without compromise. |
